We are now well into the 2018 legislative session. There was plenty of activity last week, including hearings and voting on a handful of bills Wednesday and Thursday. There were also a number of events on campus, including the annual March for Life and a visit by leaders and researchers from the Washington Policy Center. You can learn more about both those events below. Lawmakers will continue working hard to deal with the issues we face as a state, as we reach an important deadline in the legislative calendar. This Friday, Feb. 2, is the last day for Senate committees to take action on their own bills, except for bills with a cost attached that will affect state budgets (those bills have until Feb. 6 to see committee action).
